As the song from the Lerner and Lowe musical "Camelot" goes, "Tra la, it's May, the lusty month of May." I don't know about lusty, but here on beautiful Cape Cod the sky is blue and the temperature is a frigid, blustery 42 degrees. It's supposed to climb all the way to 49 today. Welcome to spring New England style!
It's a very big day for me, because the launch party for my second Baby Boomer mystery, Moving Can Be Murder, is this afternoon at a restaurant on the harbor in Hyannis. We chose the restaurant because it has an outside deck, and figured that guests could wander outside, sit in the warm sun, and enjoy the view. Ah, well. This is the first time we've ever done an official "launch," and I'm amazed at how many people are coming. Part of the reason, I suspect, has to do with the fact that we are donating part of the proceeds of book sales today to support the new mammography center at Cape Cod Hospital. I spent yesterday signing over a hundred books and putting the pink breast cancer ribbon on them. Hope we sell out and I have to sign more today.
Anybody have any book launch party stories to share?

Congratulations on the new release, Susan, as well as tying it into a worthy cause. Sounds as though you had a great day despite the blustery New England weather. (It's 33 degrees here with light snow.)
I look forward to reading Moving Can Be Murder. I'm in the midst of doing that myself.
Was a great day. Good luck on your blog tour. And your move!
It was a great day. And we were able to make a pretty substantial donation to the hospital because I sold lots of books.
Good luck on your blog tour for your latest release!
