Pet peeves

by Carola Dunn

Trying to get ms finished as there is now a pub. date (December) which, though far in the future, is not far enough for me.

They've already produced the cover art!

So here is a link to a blog about "pet peeves" in mysteries.  Chester and I both contributed via DorothyL.

Do leave a comment about your own particular pet peeves--so that we can try to avoid them!

  1. So many pet peeves...it makes an author despair. I avoid the obvious ones--"No, no, don't go alone into the basement when you know there's a serial killer running around and you just heard footsteps down there!"--but I admit to the friend who is gifted with computers.

I try to make his searches realistic and sometimes time-consuming, but I think a good PI WOULD make it a point to know someone who is adept at getting cyber-information.

  2. Oh yes, and I meant to thank you for that compilation. It's good to keep these in mind.

  3. It's impossible to avoid them all, all the time. It's when they're repeated book after book of a series that they become seriously irritating!

I believe the blog owner was going to compile another list as she was still receiving peeves. I'll post a link to that if I get it.
