I can still remember her dancing down the stairs (at the age of 91) in a pair of oversized slippers that looked like pigs. My brother gave them to her for Christmas, and they were her favorite gift that year.

The day she died, she kept smiling and reaching up toward Heaven. I'm sure she saw someone there she knew and loved reaching down for her, and that gives me great comfort.Jaden Terrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11113218513166921429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6404036170106001374.post-71997229047897360262011-12-20T17:43:30.893-06:002011-12-20T17:43:30.893-06:00This was a beautiful tribute to someone who handle...This was a beautiful tribute to someone who handled this cruel disease with absolute dignity. Her hardening of the arteries caused dementia and it's so difficult watching someone you love slip away as though watching the tide retreat from the shoreline, never to return.Jean Henry Meadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08146960738692672013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6404036170106001374.post-36259446490290565292011-12-20T12:14:14.112-06:002011-12-20T12:14:14.112-06:00Thank you all for your kind words.
