I think of myself as being in my 30s--until I realize I could have CHILDREN in their 30s. I just refuse to think about it. Admittedly, she has more health problems than I do. I have too many pictures of me sulking at age 14-16 to claim any grace during those years. However, I try to avoid using the word 'old.' My father used to tell me, "You are what you think you are," and I agree. Truth to tell, though, there's not a lot of difference between me today and me twenty years ago. Yes, parts of my body are breaking down, but they were back then, too (arthritis, poor eyesight). Yes, my memory is working at about 25%, but I've been forgetful for as long as I can remember. I blame it on genes, not age, since my mom was the same way.

We can't stop the process, so why not make friends with it and use it as we need, right?Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021516647141651616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6404036170106001374.post-3608327324928091612013-09-12T08:36:57.608-05:002013-09-12T08:36:57.608-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Jackie Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16276062715832103428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6404036170106001374.post-38586908282710132812013-09-12T08:36:27.562-05:002013-09-12T08:36:27.562-05:00Thanks for your comment, Bill. Your comments suggest exactly that. I'm sure we've been through everything our kids and grandchildren are or will be going through. The only difference is the vocabulary we use to describe it all. But we can research that.Bill Kirtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16345949773423764808noreply@blogger.com
